Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona invests in inspiring health in Arizona. Our tradition of philanthropy has resulted in millions invested to support the health and vibrancy of every Arizonan.

2023 Grant Opportunities

Grant opportunities in 2023 are available through Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation for Community & Health Advancement for programs, applied research, and charitable events.

The Foundation accepts applications from Arizona-based non-profit organizations and academic institutions that are seeking funding related to the Foundation’s health focus areas: chronic health conditions, health equity, mental health, and substance use disorder.

2023 Corporate Memberships

A select number of corporate memberships are funded by BCBSAZ each year. We invite selected organizations to formally apply each January. To learn more and request consideration, please email the Community team at corporategiving@azblue.com.

Program Support

Programmatic support that has measurable impact is the primary purpose of BCBSAZ’s corporate philanthropy. We are particularly interested in programs and projects that are focused on critical health concerns, the social determinants of health, business and civic engagement, and/or arts and culture in order to enhance the health and vibrancy of Arizonans.

Event Sponsorship

BCBSAZ welcomes applications for event sponsorship and invests in a select number of events each year. Our primary philanthropic focus, however, is on programmatic support.

New for 2021! There are set funding levels for BCBSAZ event sponsorship with a $10,000 maximum. If an event would ultimately support a program or project, we invite organizations to consider applying for programmatic support instead.

Note: We prefer to receive all event funding requests for the year in a single application, so that we can determine the funding level that best fits both of our organizations.

The BCBSAZ corporate membership application is for dues and benefits for membership in Arizona organizations such as chambers of commerce, Better Business Bureaus, associations, and cultural organizations.
